Jumbles Sailing Club is required to comply with GDPR and a small team have been reviewing our existing policies to make sure that we continue to comply with the regulations.
The data which we hold regarding our members is necessary to enable us to deliver our 'contract' with you, i.e. to facilitate your membership.
We are moving the management of this data to Sailing Club Manager (SCM) which allows you to view the data held by us. In future, we hope to use the SCM system as our data collection point.
Much work has gone on behind the scenes as we seriously considered just what we need to know and how that information will be held and managed going forward.
Viewing Your Data and Keeping it up to Date
Members have access to the data held on them and can view/edit this via the members portal on our website. We ask you to help us by keeping that data up to date - for instance, if you have a change of address, telephone number or email.
If you have forgotten your login or password please get in touch with our Webmaster (via email@example.com) who can arrange for a new login to be sent to you.
Once we have completed the move to SCM, we would ask that you take the time to go into the system and check that the information there is correct.
Our DPP can be found on our website and will be held there and updated as and when necessary. If you have any questions about the DPP please contact our Data Protection Officer (via firstname.lastname@example.org)
