We run Late Night Junior Sessions on Fridays alongside the Sea Cadet sessions. These sessions are usually for those aged 8-18 and will use a range of Double Handers as well as Single Handers depending on the sessions and numbers.

Info for parents

  • All children taking part in water activities must be confident swimmers (At least 50m)
  • All children under the age of 16 must have a parent/guardian on site at all times
  • Parents and Children will be expected to help their child rig/derig boats (Training can be given)
  • Parents may be asked to help with cooking tea, brewing up and making snacks, cleaning / mopping the clubhouse
  • All children are required to bring the equipment below. This is for there own safety as the water can be cold

Kit List

For sessions running from Late April to Early May sailors must bring the following equipment:

  • Full Length Wetsuit (Ideally thicker than 4mm) or Drysuit
  • Buoyancy Aid (Club can provide)
  • Warm hat (And a spare)
  • Sailing Gloves
  • Spray top / aqua fleece
  • Warm footwear (wetboots + Thermal socks)
  • Warm coat
  • Warm change of clothes + Trainers + Coat
  • Towel

For sessions running from Mid May sailors must bring the following equipment:

  • Full Length Wetsuit
  • Buoyancy Aid (Club can provide)
  • Hat (And a spare)
  • Sailing Gloves
  • Spray top / aqua fleece
  • Wetboots / Old trainers
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel

The following items are not a necessity but are definitely recommended:

  • Cap
  • Sailing Gloves
