Our Facilities

The club has excellent facilities. Recent upgrades to the building and ground have been completed which make it much more accessible to all.

We are proud to be an RYA Sailability site. We have a large accessible disabled changing room that was built in 2012 as part of a large club extension project. The club has also purchased an Access 303 Sailing dinghy which is a specially designed craft for Sailability groups. More information on our Sailability department can be found here.

We have large Male and Female changing rooms that also contain toilets and hot showers. There is also a large internal 'wet' seating area where sailors can eat/warm up in between races. On warm days there are also many benches and picnic tables outside the club which offer a brilliant view of the lake and surrounding country park.

The club also has a well-stocked bar and 'dry' seating area. Many functions such as the presentation evening, bonfire night and Christmas parties are held. On Sundays hot food/drink is also provided by the Galley (Kitchen) which is manned by different members each week.

Recently a new Jetty and Concrete ramp have been purchased which have helped to increase the accessibility of our Facilities.

The club also owns several boats which are available members with the request that a small contribution of around £4.00 is made towards the maintainance and insurance costs.

The club owns the following array of boats:

  • 2x Optimist
  • 2x Topper
  • 2x Laser Picos
  • 2x Laser 1
  • 4x RS Qubas
  • 1x RS Vision
  • 2x GP14
  • 1x Sailability Access Boat

  • 1x Enterprise
  • 1x GP14
  • 1x Laser 13
