Dinghy racing takes place every Sunday from the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in December. This year there are 3 exceptions, Lake District Camping & Sailing Weekend at Windermere, Wilson Trophy visit to West Kirby SC to watch full on Team Racing and the Southport 24 Hour Race in which we take part.
At Jumbles we practice handicap racing there being no one design fleets. This allows sailors to sail any type of dinghy they choose. To race, however, there must be a PY number for their type of boat.

There are four series shields (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter)

  • Spring, Summer and Autumn series race days have three races and to be eligible for the series you must have competed in a minimum of seven races over that series; the best seven scores count.
  • Winter series race days have two races and five results count.

There are special series and cups for Juniors and the race after lunch of every adult series has a prize for the first Junior competitor taking part in the adult race.
